Post Scriptum for PC is a first-person shooter game by Periscope Games. It was produced by the combined efforts of two groups: the creators of Project Reality, and modders from Liberty's Highway. At first, the game was supposed to be a mod for Squad, but ultimately it became a standalone production.
Post Scriptum is a multiplayer-focused game, so it doesn't feature an expansive story campaign. The inspirations were drawn from Operation Market Garden (17 to 26 September 1944), which took place in the Netherlands during World War II. The operation assumed breaking through the Ardennes and “ending the war before Christmas.” However, after fierce battles, the Allies conceded defeat.
The game allows you to choose between two factions: the Allied Forces (including the British airborne forces or Polish 1st Independent Parachute Brigade) and the German army, including Waffen-SS. You participate in 50-vs-50 battles on faithfully recreated and expansive maps. The game's creators used various historical resources as reference to capture the reality of the war.
Post Scriptum was inspired by such games as Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45, Battleground Europe: WWII Online, and ArmA. Because of that, the game has a simulation feel. Since the maps are quite large (from 4 to 8 square miles), you need to cooperate and communicate with your teammates to succeed. The gameplay involves more than just shooting—you also should use vehicles (there are over 50 of them available), both in combat and as logistic support, as the production features strategy elements, such as establishing bases on the battlefield.
Post Scriptum for PC features three modes: Stratagem, Offensive, and Sandbox.
