Big Ambitions PC

Big Ambitions is a combination of an economic sim and an RPG life simulator set in a big city. It was developed by Hovgaard Games, known for Startup Company.

Mechanics

The playable character is a resident of New York City, renting their first apartment and working in their first job. Their goal is to become the richest person in the city. To do so, we must set up small companies and grow them into powerful corporations. The available businesses include gift, alcohol or clothing stores, supermarkets, law firms and flower shops.

Big Ambitions, just like other economic strategies, features elaborate mechanics tied to running a business. The player can take out loans, establish companies, design logos, find headquarters, look for employees, create infrastructure and manage finances. Over time, as our business grows, it becomes necessary to hire logistics and HR managers or sales representatives, as well as to prepare offices for them.

This is done similarly to other simulators and RPGs, many activities needing to be done manually. The player can enter and purchase nearly any building in the game. Money can be spent on developing our businesses and on the protagonist's personal needs. Our playable character isn't a machine, so we need to take care of their health and sleep schedule.

Game modes

The game only supports singleplayer.

Technical aspects

The 3D visuals of Big Ambitions are simple though appealing, the gameplay being shown from the isometric perspective.
