A fantasy-themed 2,5D brawler, allowing to play alone or in 2-player coop. Big Helmet Heroes offers four playable character classes - a warrior, a brute, a rogue or a monk. Each class has their own weapons and attacks. We deal with waves of enemies, while trying to find and rescue the princess.
Big Helmet Heroes is a beat'em up game in which we enter a fantasy land and take on the role of the titular heroes tasked with saving the princess. The game is the debut project of the independent French team Exalted Studio.
In Big Helmet Heroes we watch the action from the side. During the game, we embody a chosen hero and explore locations in their skin, engaging in dynamic battles with numerous opponents. Adventure leads us both through picturesque landscapes and dangerous undergrounds.
The game provides us with characters representing four professions, each equipped with a unique set of skills and strengths.
A warrior wielding a sword and shield is a relatively universal unit, maintaining a balance between attack and defense factors. Brute is quite slow, but possesses great strength and uses a two-handed weapon. In addition, there is a rogue equipped with two daggers, who is fast and can sneak around, as well as a monk armed with a staff, who can boast agility.
Big Helmet Heroes allows for single-player gameplay or fun in local co-op mode for up to two people.
The graphic design of Big Helmet Heroes is maintained in a cartoon style straight from Pixar animated films.

Game Ratings for Big Helmet Heroes Video Game.
Pure Nintendo: 8 / 10 by Kenny Massey
There's a lot of diversity throughout the arcade fighter Big Helmet Heroes, and it's really easy to pick up and get better at. While it may not be everyone's cup of tea, if you like side-scrolling beat-'em-ups, I would definitely recommend it for single and two-player co-op fun.

Big Helmet Heroes is a fun, well-crafted beat ‘em up with tons of personality. Its engaging combat, varied heroes, and stunning visuals make it a joy to play, and the imaginative levels and hilarious weapon choices add to its charm. However, it’s held back by its disappointing co-op implementation, frustrating performance issues, and frequent bugs—particularly on Xbox. If Exalted Studio can iron out these technical issues and maybe even add online multiplayer, this game could easily become a standout in the genre. But as it stands now, it’s a diamond in the rough—polished in some areas, but frustratingly unrefined in others.

This whimsical romp through ridiculous scenarios with a cast of crazy characters is an excellent outing in levity and enjoyment. Whilst brief, there is tonnes of replayability to be found in either finding all the characters or exploring the harder modes. The plot is as chaotic as the gameplay but Big Helmet Heroes leans into this and pulls it off gloriously. For a price point around $30 AU it’s very hard to go past this, especially if you have a gaming buddy, this could provide way more than just the 4-6 hours of fun I experienced. All in all, if you love fun and have an enlarged noggin then this game is for you!
