An expansion for the isometric fantasy RPG from 2022. Our main task in Black Geyser: Couriers of Darkness - Tales of the Moon Cult is to challenge the cult of the Night Goddess. There are also various side missions and puzzles available in the DLC.
In 2022, the full version of the RPG titled Black Geyser: Couriers of Darkness was released. It was inspired by the classics of the genre, including the first two installments of the Baldur's Gate series and the game Planescape: Torment.
After its release, the GrapeOcean Technologies responsible for it enriched it with an expansion, which is Black Geyser: Couriers of Darkness - Tales of the Moon Cult described here. Interestingly, similar to the base version of the game, its creation was made possible in part due to a successful crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter.
Black Geyser: Couriers of Darkness - Tales of the Moon Cult introduces a new storyline related to the cult of the Night Goddess.
The adventure that takes us through the coast of Isilmerald, Gloomhalls, and the Savage Island. It allows us to collaborate with the royal court and even join forces with cannibals. All this to thwart the plans of the Zoria cult.
In pursuit of completing the task entrusted to us, we can visit new locations, namely Port Tarenis and the Vineyards of Tiberius. We gain access to them after visiting Freynagar in the 4th chapter of the story told in the "base game."
That's not all, as side missions from the expansion involve discovering the secrets of the Vineyards of Tiberius, resolving a scientific dispute at the Wardenhaft Academy, investigating the mysteries of the lost Temple of Alvimelkedic, and helping a dwarven nobleman fulfill his life's dream. Additionally, the developers have prepared new puzzles.
The complement to all of this is previously unavailable items and spells.
Black Geyser: Couriers of Darkness - Tales of the Moon Cult is a non-standalone expansion, so it requires the base game Black Geyser: Couriers of Darkness.
