BloodRayne Betrayal: Fresh Bites

BloodRayne Betrayal: Fresh Bites is a remaster of the third part of the BloodRayne series. The game once again allows us to follow the fate of the red-haired dhampiress Rayne, but this time shown in the form of a side-scrolling arcade game. Game was developed by WayForward studio and published by Ziggurat Interactive.

Plot

Just like in the original, the main character Rayne is summoned by the Brimstone Society for one last mission, in which she has to lead a group of soldiers to a huge underground castle in order to annihilate an extremely strong enemy that resides there. When the accompanying army proves ineffective against a variety of monsters, Rayne continues her mission on her own, navigating through trap-laden locations, attacking and draining the blood of her many enemies.

Mechanics

BloodRayne Betrayal: Fresh Bites is a platform game where the main goal is to fight enemies and avoid traps set for the main character. The protagonist has a large arsenal of weapons, thanks to which she can dismember and crush the encountered monsters. Sometimes she also has to face the boss.

The game was divided into fifteen levels. There is also a new difficulty level, designed primarily for people focused on the story and fun. However, if the main goal of the player is to test their survival skills, they can easily sink their fangs in this original and definitely more merciless one.

Technical aspects

The game features polished, 2D graphics, enriched with new special effects and adjusted to be displayed in 4K resolution. In addition, the voiceovers used in the original dubbing have been refreshed. Laura Bailey once again provides the voice of the protagonist, while Kagan is voiced by Troy Baker.
