- Third installment of BloodRayne will receive a remaster from WayForward;
- Betreyal: Fresh Bites will offer improved graphics, new dubbing and additional difficulty levels;
- It has not been revealed when the game is scheduled for release.
After creating remasters of the first two installments of the BloodRayne series, the time has come for the last one. Publisher Ziggurat Interactive has announced that WayForward will handle the overhaul of the game, which will be released with the subtitle Betrayal: Fresh Bites. The game will appear on PC (via Steam and GOG), Switch, PS4, PS5 and Xbox One and Series S/X.
The developers will adapt the title, which was the first in the series to move from 3D environment to 2D, to modern requirements. BloodRayne: Betrayal is a side-scrolling arcade game, which significantly differed from the form to which we were accustomed by the previous installments. This change was also connected with the mixed reception the game received. Perhaps the remaster will enable some players to rediscover it.
The creators promise that Betrayal: Fresh Bites will receive improved graphics, which will be displayed in 4K resolution and enriched with additional effects. During the game we will also be able to hear a new dubbing. Laura Bailey will play Rayne and Troy Baker will play Kagan. The developers will also introduce additional difficulty levels, which will allow for more flexibility in choosing between a relaxing experience and a ruthless fight for survival.
For now, it has not been revealed when the game is scheduled for release.
