Founded by former Ubisoft employees, indie studio Day 4 Night set out to design an action adventure game with a storyline inspired by the team's experience in game development. The tri-dimensional platformer Bradley the Badger makes humorous references to popular titles such as Bloodborne, Cyberpunk 2077 and The Last of Us.
As an anthropomorphic badger armed with a frying pan, we traverse worlds with unfinished textures to fight enemies, leap over obstacles and manipulate the environment with development tools. Indeed, Bradley the Badger allows the player to reprogram the properties of objects, including adjusting their scale, changing their shape, dragging platforms or modifying the effect of gravity.
Depending on the need, the titular badger can take control of any unfinished object in the game world (from a toy robot to a truck), make walls temporarily accessible for climbing to reach secret passageways and observation points, and even give harmless objects the properties of a bomb.
Badger manipulation is used to fight enemies. Thanks to the zoom function of objects, we are able to crush enemies, while playing with surface geometry we create our own shields, platforms and paths. Additional powers include copying, liquefying, and debugging.
Protagonist Bradley the Badger, the protagonist of popular platformers, wakes up in a world of unfinished levels straight out of "non-selfie" AAA productions. Desiring to return home, he embarks on a journey to save his world and friends.
Bradley the Badger boasts detailed visuals and a diversity in the aesthetics of the worlds traversed.
