Continuation of the warmly acclaimed action RPG game, in which we find ourselves in a fantastic land inhabited by animals. In Cat Quest II: The Lupus Empire, we once again travel the vast world and perform a variety of tasks while facing increasingly powerful adversaries.
Cat Quest II is a continuation the warmly-received action RPG from 2017. The title was developed by the devs of the original, e.g. the independent studio The Gentlebros.
In Cat Quest II: The Lupus Empire, the players once again find themselves in a fantasy land inhabited by animals (the main character is a cat), and their task is to save the world threatened by a civil war. Just like in the first installment of the series, the plot was stuffed with a solid dose of specific humor.
Gameplay in Cat Quest II: The Lupus Empire does not differ from the formula developed for the purposes of the original. We continue to travel the vast world and carry out the tasks assigned to us by its inhabitants, as well as fighting enemies. During battles, as important as properly selected tactics are the abilities of the cat, whose combat potential is increased as we progress (the hero levels up and gains new skills, as well as collects more powerful equipment).
Cat Quest II: The Lupus Empire's visuals adopt an original, cartoonish style.

Game Ratings for Cat Quest II Video Game.
Worth Playing: 9 / 10 by Cody Medellin
Cat Quest II is just as good as the original. The core mechanics remain appealing, while the addition of magic rods and projectile attacks are enough to change things up for those who were afraid of another melee-fest. The elimination of some required grinding makes the game feel more streamlined for those who were anxious to see where the main storyline goes, but the inclusion of local co-op increases the game's fun factor tenfold. This is another job well done and another quality title to add to one's gaming library.
Cubed3: 7 / 10 by Sandy Kirchner-Wilson
Cat Quest II succeeds in taking the concept of the original further, and making it a more compelling experience. The improved story, co-op play, and extra variety, essentially make it the bigger, better, more interesting version of the original - almost like a GOTY, or complete edition. Unfortunately, however, it fails to completely remedy the repetitive nature of some of the content, and in taking the tedium out of the level grinding. Overall, a commendable second tale in the world of Cat Quest, and one which is thoroughly recommended.
Game Revolution: 3 / 5 by Alex Santa Maria
At the end of the day, Cat Quest 2 is top of the line when it comes to offering classic mechanics to those newer to gaming. You won't be able to jump from The Witcher 3 to this and enjoy it, but it's a great title to enjoy with a younger member of the family.
