The action takes place on an alien planet, on which three sides of the war are waged: a woman resembling a mermaid, a giant monster named Kabuto, and space adventurers who had to land in this land in an emergency.

The game takes place in the familiar land of Ancaria, which fell victim to an attack by the evil Ashen Empire. When the Seraphim who protect the land are defeated, the duty of defending the kingdom falls on the shoulders of the player, who takes control over the hero belonging to one of three different character classes.

The players who control the characters must face waves of robots and destroy the Mann Co. factory in which the machines are created.

The reedition refreshed the two-dimensional graphic design, preserving the plot and the general model of the game from the original. Again we play the role of the title character Boogerman, who has to travel through six worlds in an unclean alternative dimension and defeat the evil Booger Meister.
