Cozy Caravan is an adventure game that allows us to experience the life of a wandering trader in a fantasy world that is home to anthropomorphic (but not only) animal-like creatures. The game was developed by the independent team 5 Lives Studios from Australia, which previously delivered such projects as Satellite Reign and Windbound.

Mechanics

In Cozy Caravan we watch the action from a bird's eye view. After creating a character, all that's left for us to do is to join forces with our faithful companion - Bubba - and embark on an exciting journey.

Traveling the game world in our carriage (pulled by a creature resembling a large beetle), we primarily focus on gathering resources. The resources we acquire are useful for crafting, during which we can produce various goods while trying our best at diverse mini-games. After filling the carriage with valuable items, all we can do is stop at one of the towns we pass along the way, set up our mobile shop and trade with customers.

I genuinely feel like a proud parent whenever I show off my Cozy Caravan character. The game does a lot to create a warm, comforting atmosphere that feels especially welcome right now. It’s the kind of game I’ll happily keep checking in on after finishing the review. If you’re looking for a new cozy game to sink into or a game like Animal Crossing, Cozy Caravan should absolutely be at the top of your list.
