game release date for 3DS:

Culdcept Revolt for 3DS is a strategic RPG game that combines the features of classic board games with card productions. The title was released on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the Culdcept series, which was born in 1997 and debuted on Sega Saturn and PlayStation consoles. Since then, the cycle has seen several page views and extensions designed for other hardware platforms. The Japanese studio Omiya Soft is responsible for the production of all its parts, including Culdcept Revolt.

Culdcept Revolt takes players into the original fantasy world. The main character, a young boy named Allen, is a fresh recruit of an army of rebels fighting the tyranny of Count Kranissa. In the course of his adventure, he and his allies try to overthrow the regime of this unjust and cruel ruler, destroying the troops under his command. The story is presented in the form of interludes in the popular visual novel format, which we are crawling with between duels.

In the course of the game at the Culdcept Revolt Players fight turn-based battles on square-shaped boards using cards representing monsters and spells used in battles with enemies. The aim of each game is to score as many points as possible for taking control of the following sectors of the board. In each turn we move in the chosen direction. The number of fields defeated at a time is determined by the dice throw. If you come across an opponent while moving, you start a card fight, and after winning, you take control of the field occupied by the opponent. Players can build or modify the deck themselves. The creators prepared a total of over four hundred cards representing various creatures, abilities and spells. Each monster is described by a series of statistics describing its chances of winning a battle.

Game modes

In addition to the single player campaign, Culdcept Revolt also includes a multiplayer mode. Both local and network duels are available. In each of them can measure a maximum of four people. The creators have also prepared online scoreboards, on which the best players from all over the world can be found.

Technical issues

Culdcept Revolt offers a simple three-dimensional graphic design, combined with two-dimensional sprites, used to represent individual characters and special effects. Noteworthy are the projects of characters prepared by Kinu Nishimura, an artist associated with Capcom, for whom she worked on the Street Fighter series and the game Code of Princess, as well as the one known from several anime series, such as Gundam Reconguista in G.
