Deer & Boy is an arcade game with platform game mechanics and adventure game elements. It was developed by French Lifeline Entertainment. Most of the work was done by the artist Jayson Houdet, who previously worked on Overwatch.

Plot

Player takes on the role of a boy who runs away from home after a traumatic experience. During the journey he meets and tames a deer. This unusual pair will experience numerous adventures together and will face many dangers. At the same time all these experiences will strengthen the boy, allowing him to heal the wounds in his soul and gain strength before entering adulthood.

Despite issues like an unnecessary maze and out-of-place sci-fi premise, Deer & Boy is an adorable narrative adventure that I would recommend. Some of the puzzles are a bit confusing due to a lack of visual cues, but the puzzle gameplay is rewarding for the most part.
