Disciples II: Gallean's Return is a package of extensions to the 2002 Disciples II: Dark Prophecy strategy. The set includes two official additions - Disciples II: Light Watchdogs and Disciples II: Darkness Servants. Strategy First developers have prepared new campaigns and scenarios, multiplayer maps, as well as a revised AI, a revised player interface and an improved board editor.

Disciples II: Gallean’s Return is a set of two official expansions for a turn-based strategy game, Disciples II: Dark Prophecy.

First of the two, Disciples II: Guardians of the Light, allows the players to play two new mini-campaigns prepared with the two “good” nations in mind: the Empire and the Mountain Clans. It also contains 16 maps meant for the multiplayer and skirmish modes, including 10 previously unknown ones, new soundtrack (4 tracks), map generator, three new special characters and a bunch of graphic elements, such as new city and battlefield backgrounds.

The second one, Disciples II: Servants of the Dark, lets the players play two “evil” mini-campaigns with Legions of the Damned and the Undead Hordes. It contains the exact same amount of novelties as the first one, that is 16 maps meant for the multiplayer and skirmish modes, including 10 previously unknown ones, new soundtrack (4 tracks), map generator, three new special characters and a bunch of graphic elements, such as new city and battlefield backgrounds.

In both cases, a number of key gameplay elements were improved, such as computer AI, the map editor, user interface, as well as the overall performance of the game.
