Enlisted is an online shooter developed by Latvian studio Darkflow Software, for which this is the first project. However, the experienced team of Gaijin Entertainment, known for the popular War Thunder, helped in the work on the game.
Mechanics
The action of the game takes place during World War II. At the beginning, the developers provided two extended campaigns - "Battle for Moscow" (Battle for Moscow) and "Invasion of Normandy" (invasion of Normandy). They were divided into several maps, on which we gain experience points and unlock subsequent levels of the campaign, and with them new weapons and vehicles.
In Enlisted we play only in multiplayer mode, but it differs a bit from the one present in other shooters of this type. The developers have included a rather unusual system of populating the maps and in the main game mode, each player is accompanied by a squad of bots, which can be given simple orders. We also choose our character's specialisation, which determines access to specific weapons and vehicles. We observe the game from the first person perspective, also while driving vehicles.
Technology
Enlisted runs on the Dagor Engine technology, which was used previously in War Thunder, for example. The engine enables the generation of large maps, with the possibility of destroying certain elements of the environment.
Other
Enlisted is made available in an unusual business model. Each campaign is a separate game sold in digital distribution. However, purchased scenarios are combined in the main menu, from which we have access to all purchased "chapters".
