Release Date: May 30, 2025
The 16th installment of the racing game series made by Codemasters, based on the official Formula 1 license and featuring all tracks & drivers from the 2025 season. F1 25 offers the third chapter of the story mode titled Braking Point. There are also new features when running our own team in the career mode.
F1 25 is the sixteenth racing game from Codemasters studio using the Formula 1 license. The game was published by Electronic Arts.
Just like the previous parts of the series, F1 25 is a simcade type of game - combining realism with accessibility for a wide audience. The game recreates the 2025 F1 championship season, reproducing all official cars, teams, drivers and tracks in the F1 and F2 categories.
One of the main attractions in F1 25 is the story mode called Braking Point. This is the third chapter of the story that was started in the F1 2021 game and was later continued in F1 23. We are once again following the fate of the fictional team Konnersport, which is dealing with chaos after a certain "dramatic event".
The second pillar of the game is the career mode, which can be played in two ways. We can race as the boss of our own fictional team or limit ourselves to the role of an F1 driver from one of the real teams. That first option is called My Team 2.0 and it introduces a perk system that allows specialization in selected management areas.
F1 25 also offers the opportunity to participate in time trials or quick races - they are available through the F1 World module, which includes a separate progression system and seasonal events. We can compete alone (against AI drivers) or with other players - via the Internet (also on other platforms thanks to the cross-platform function), using a local network or on a split screen.
Just like the previous installments of the series, F1 25 was developed using the Ego engine (created by Codemasters). The game supports virtual reality headsets (VR) on personal computers.

Game Ratings for F1 25 Video Game.
Impulsegamer: 4.5 / 5
F1 25 has built on last year's entry into the franchise and brought some genuine updates, both to the visuals and to the various modes in the game. I appreciate the changes made to My Team mode as a fan of both the sport and management games in general; and even though I'm overall somewhat lukewarm to Braking Point as a feature, I appreciate what Codemasters are trying to do with it.
GamingBolt: 8 / 10 by Stuart Glover
An experience which promises much and delivers on some, F1 25 is without doubt a worthy entry but the feeling is its innovations could be greater.
IGN: 8 / 10 by Luke Reilly
F1 25 is a far broader and better package than last year’s installment, and it’s comfortably the strongest the series has been since the fan favourite F1 2020.
