Released in October 2008, the RPG game titled Fallout 3 not only moved the iconic series into a tri-dimensional environment, but also gave it new life, so to speak, under the wings of Bethesda.
The first rumors that it was to get a refreshed version appeared in 2019. Four years later, the publisher' s alleged plan leaked, which included such items as The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered and the work in question. Rumors of a refresh of the third Fallout took a turn for the worse when the fourth The Elder Scrolls actually lived to see a new version released in April 2025.
Although many fans hoped that the release of Fallout 3 Remastered would coincide with the end of the second season of the TV series adaptation (in early February 2026), this ultimately did not happen. On the other hand, they still hoped to see it sooner or later, remembering that, according to unofficial assurances in April 2025, the project in question was expected to need "a lot of time."

There is a picture on Reddit that suggests that Fallout 3 will receive a refreshed version. The game is scheduled to hit the PCs as well as the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles in June. Unfortunately, there are many indications that the information may be false.
