An enriched version of the spinoff of the popular agricultural RPG series, developed by Natsume studio. In Harvest Moon: Home Sweet Home - Special Edition, our main goal is to restore the Alba village to its former glory. We accomplish this by running a farm and interacting with the residents.
In 2024, a farming RPG titled Harvest Moon: Home Sweet Home was released on mobile devices. It served as a spin-off of the series developed by Natsume. Just over a year later, it was released on PCs and consoles as Harvest Moon: Home Sweet Home - Special Edition, which is described here.
In Harvest Moon: Home Sweet Home - Special Edition, events are viewed from a bird's-eye perspective.
The gameplay does not differ much from what other productions under this brand have accustomed us to. During the game, we explore the Alba village and its picturesque surroundings, cultivate the land, and engage in animal husbandry (such as sheep, chickens, and cows), as well as gather valuable resources that allow us to gradually expand our farm.
Additionally, we meet the residents, engage in conversations with them, and help solve their problems. In this way, we form relationships that can eventually develop into something more, even allowing us to walk down the aisle.
Our efforts gradually help Alba regain its former glory. New buildings and businesses appear in the village, and thanks to special events (such as seasonal festivals or local competitions), it begins to buzz with life again. During breaks from work, we can indulge in more enjoyable activities, such as horse racing or fishing tournaments, which are presented in the form of mini-games.
Harvest Moon: Home Sweet Home - Special Edition stands out from the original due to the presence of two characters from Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos, namely Elli and Nikolai. Additionally, we gain access to the Hoverbike 5000, which significantly enhances exploration, as well as the Cleanmeister Autovac, which automates the cleaning process.
In Harvest Moon: Home Sweet Home - Special Edition we take on the role of a character who arrives in their family village named Alba. Although this place has seen better days, not all is lost, and with our help, it can experience a true revival.
