A combination of an RPG and a strategy game, resembling the classic Mount & Blade. Legacy of Valor was created by a Czech developer, Filip Husak. We become a Medieval lord and build a settlement from scratch. We need to gradually expand it and also ensure that it's protected from enemy attacks.

Mount & Blade is a production that set standards at the intersection of RPG and strategy games. From time to time, there are projects that try to compete with it and attract fans of such gameplay. One of them is Legacy of Valor created by Czech developer Filip Husak.

Gameplay

In Legacy of Valor we view the action from a third-person perspective (TPP).

Settlement expansion

The game takes us to the medieval world and allows us to take on the role of a lord whose task is to build a prosperous and fortified city from scratch. Since "Rome wasn't built in a day", we start with a modest settlement consisting of just a few buildings.

Only as its population grows and through the hard work of its inhabitants does it begin to expand over time. This process is observed in real-time, enhanced by dynamic weather conditions and a day-night cycle.

All matters related to the functioning of the settlement rest on our shoulders. We deal with farming and resource gathering, issuing commands related to building additional structures, as well as trading and acquiring new lands and managing them. The exchange of goods and accumulation of wealth requires sending out trade caravans.

Fighting enemies and making decisions

Our actions do not escape the attention of our enemies, so defensive issues also play an important role here. To ensure the safety of our subjects, from time to time we must take up the sword and participate directly in dynamic battles with opponents, personally leading our army. As we progress, our defensive capabilities grow thanks to the castle and fortifications we can acquire.

Complementing all this is the need to make choices that influence the future of both our settlement and the entire world around us.
