Another game from Traveller's Tales, featuring the highly-popular LEGO bricks. Unlike the previous installments in the series, this time the game doesn’t take us to any movie or comic book universe. LEGO Worlds was designed as a multiplayer virtual playground, in which the gameplay is focused on creating our own constructions and exploring thus created brick world with other players.

LEGO Worlds is an online multiplayer title which revolves around constructing you own structures, exploring the world and interacting with other players – in short, a virtual sandbox. The production has been developed by the Traveller’s Tales studio, the authors of the renowned series of LEGO themed video games.

This time we are not transported into a movie or comic book universe; instead, we create a new world for ourselves. To accomplish this, the developers have prepared a range of terraforming tools which greatly simplify the process, allowing you to quickly shape large areas and also create complex structures piece by piece. You can also create characters (not just the ones you control), by picking various elements of clothing and appearance. Apart from the works of other users, the world is filled with towns, villages and procedurally generated dungeons, furthermore, we have the ability to play around with countless sets of LEGO blocks, which also exist in a physical form.

IGN: 7.2 / 10 by T.J. Hafer

LEGO Worlds is commendable for its environmental diversity and the power of its creative tools to build anything you can dream of or manipulate every castle, hillside, and forest in sight. Unfortunately, fiddly menus, a pretty terrible combat system, and at times clunky and unfriendly construction controls weigh down on the wonder of finding and creating. Despite all this, I still find myself drawn back into it to discover what more the designers have hidden in the world-generation code, as coming across a massive ruined castle or an active volcano for the first time is always a treat - and an inspiration for what I want to build next.

ZTGD: 7 / 10 by Ken McKown

LEGO Worlds is a delightful game, and one my son absolutely adores. It is a blast to play, and outside some weird design choices, feels like a solid foundation for them to build upon. Also the price tag is just right, making it an easy game to recommend, especially with those who have kids. There is a ton of content packed in here.

God is a Geek: 7.5 / 10 by Nicola Ardron

LEGO Worlds is a delightful game, full of whimsy with tonnes of things to see and do. The draw of exploration is excellent as is the myriad of items to collect, but frame rate issues and quest bugs slow the gameplay down a bit.
