It was developed by Zoink Games, which previously released such titles as Flipping Death, Zombie Vikings and Fe. The player assumes the role of a girl named Even, who decides to challenge the rules in the land of Random.
Lost in Random takes us to the dark fantasy world called Random. The land is ruled by a dice, the throw of which defines the future of every person. The player takes on the role of a girl named Even, who finds another unusual dice - Dicey; with its help, the heroine has a chance to defy the prevailing order. The two companions embark on an uneasy journey in which they will fight against fate itself.
During the game, the player controls a young girl traversing a fantastic land full of dangers. Lost in Random puts before the player challenges, which test both his dexterity and cunning.
We also meet many opponents on our way. However, we are not defenseless - depending on the situation we have at our disposal melee or ranged weapons.
The game's artistic style is reminiscent of Tim Burton's animations.

Ultimately, I think what Lost in Random reminds me of most is American McGee’s early Alice games, but less brutal and more whimsical. It’s got a similar form of macabre about its world and narrative, but it also has a similar limitation and technical tarnish that those games had. Even and Dicey’s Journey to save Odd and stop the Queen is well written and presented by the game’s action, music, and narrative, but it feels like there’s also varying degrees of jank just sitting in your periphery. Get past that, and I still feel this is a fairy-tale adventure that deserves a cover-to-cover read.
