Lynked: Banner of the Spark is an action game with RPG and roguelike elements, enriched with mechanics borrowed from life simulators. It was developed by FuzzyBot studio, while its release was handled by Dreamhaven, a company founded by Mike Morhaime - one of the legends of Blizzard Entertainment.

Gameplay

In Lynked: Banner of the Spark we watch the events from a bird's eye view. The action of this game is set after the year 3000, in a world dominated by robots. During the game, we take on the role of a character who joins forces with friendly machines (called Unibots) and together with them starts a fight for a new, better world.

Fighting opponents

Main elements of the game are exploring locations and fighting hordes of enemies. On our way, we encounter both regular opponents and much more powerful bosses, with whom we engage in dynamic battles. We can make use of both melee and ranged weapons. The Wyre grabber also proves to be a handy tool, allowing us to pull towards targets and perform other useful actions.

  • Repetition and Grind: Players mention that the gameplay can become repetitive, especially with missions that feel like a grind. The need to rescue numerous NPCs (Unibots) can lead to a feeling of monotony.
  • Bugs and Technical Issues: Several reviews highlight bugs, especially in multiplayer mode, including loading issues and performance drops. Some players experienced crashes or connectivity problems.

  • Quality of Life Improvements: Suggestions include better menu navigation, options for auto-targeting, and clearer communication of gameplay mechanics.
  • Balancing of Difficulty: Some players feel that the difficulty spikes in later missions are too harsh and could be better calibrated to maintain engagement without overwhelming players.

Users express hope for continued development and improvement as the game progresses through early access.
