Mass Effect Trilogy is a package of three games of the space action RPGs, telling about the adventures of Commander Shepard. All the productions were created by BioWare, owned by Electronic Arts. The issue includes game discs and an exclusive booklet with graphics.
Mass Effect is one of the most popular brands of BioWare, which gave the players such productions as Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Jade Empire, or Dragon's Age. In this series, we assume the role of Commander Shepard representing the interests of the humanity in the universe inhabited by many races. The protagonist quickly gets caught up in a complicated intrigue and faces the mysterious Reapers who threaten the entire galaxy.
All three Mass Effect game are intertwined plot-wise, but their momentum is gradually increasing. In the first one, Shepard gets to fight the Reaper who tries to facilitate the return of the fleet of his race. The second one tells the story of the so-called Collectors abducting the entire human colonies in order to accelerate the invasion of the Reapers. The last one is the ultimate confrontation with the fearsome and ruthless Reapers, and the final outcome is up to the player.
In Mass Effect, BioWare departed from the classic gameplay solutions of their previous RPGs in favor of more dynamic action. The series resemble shooters with a cover system, but retains the tactical elements such as the ability to change weapons, develop the characters, and issuing orders. Mass Effect is famous for its audiovisual layer, great story, and a curious dialogue system.
