Neocense is a 2D puzzle game in which we take on the role of a disabled woman who can move between the worlds of the living and the dead. It was developed and published by Tired Tortoise Tribe, an independent studio.
The action of Neocense takes place in a universe known as Cha. The player takes on the role of a girl named Amori, who has an unusual ability to move between the world of the living and the dead. The protagonist tries to find out the truth about her origin and nature - to do that she will have to explore the history of her world.
In Neocense we observe the action from an isometric perspective. The game involves moving around the locations and solving puzzles using the ability to move between two worlds (the levels look slightly different in each of them). We also have to perform magic rituals and fight with enemies using a system that allows to hurt the enemy by solving puzzles.
In Neocense we can play only solo. The game offers a story campaign.
Neocense uses the well-known Unity graphics engine. The game has a rather simple, 2D graphic design, which stands out with its extremely vivid colours.
