Nobody Wants to Die is an adventure game done in a neo-noir style. The game developed by the Polish studio Critical Hit Games is set in a dystopian future. The main theme of the story in Nobody Wants to Die is time manipulation, as well as issues of immortality and transhumanism.

Plot

In the year 2329, humanity defeated death, making consciousness eternal thanks to memory banks and the ability to transfer it between bodies. Immortality has become only a matter of price, and this does not matter for the highest classes.

James Karra is a New York detective from the mortality department, whose experiences with death push him towards an unofficial case. The detective follows the trail of a serial killer, trying to uncover the perpetrator of murders aimed at the city elite. His only support is Sara Kai - a young police liaison officer.
