Offroad Racing is a racing game developed by Artefacts Studio (its portfolio includes such titles as Moto Racer 4, ATV Drift & Tricks and Garfield Kart: Furious Racing) and OSome Studio (authors of White Night and Asterix & Obelix XXL 3: The Crystal Menhir), and released by Microids.
In Offroad Racing, we race on off-road tracks full of mud, sand and terrain obstacles. The production offers three types of vehicles. We have motorcycles, buggies and quads adapted for difficult terrain. We can adjust the appearance of machines and our character.
The game uses arcade driving model and focuses on completing successive tracks in a spectacular way, drifting in corners and making long jumps. Besides our position at which we cross the finish line, the second thing that counts is our style. Our actions are evaluated on an ongoing basis and we receive points for, among other things, driving a quad on two wheels, a soft landing after a jump or even achieving dizzying speed.
Offroad Racing allows you to play alone or in a multiplayer mode over the Internet or on a split-screen. The game offers five single-player modes - a single race or an entire season, one lap race, time trials and championship. We can compete with other players in four modes - Last Man Riding, King of the Road, Hunter and Golden Helmet.
The graphics in Offroad Racing are at a moderately decent level. The vehicle models don't impress with detail, nor do the character models. The game, however, hass various track designs. The races are accompaniment by rock soundtrack.
