Isometric RPG hack'n'slash action, which takes place in a fantasy world inspired by pre-Christian mythologies, published by Wargaming (known from World of Tanks). Pagan Online can be played both alone and in cooperation.
Pagan Online is an action RPG that takes place in pre-biblical times. This title combines solutions known from hack'n'slash sub-genre with ideas associated with MOBA online games. Pagan Online was developed by Mad Head Games studio and released by Wargaming (World of Tanks).
The gods went away, leaving the world in a state of complete chaos. Dark forces grow in power, capturing the souls of those who are too weak to defend themselves. We play as one of the chosen by the gods - our goal is to stand up for the innocent, challenging evil.
Pagan Online is an RPG game belonging to the hack'n'slash sub-genre (represented by the Diablo, Grim Dawn and Path of Exile series, among others). The character is observed from above (so called isometric perspective), and the game is dynamic and focuses on fighting hordes of enemies, putting a lot of emphasis on character development and equipment management (collecting and creating items). The game contains many different missions, which are performed on one of several difficulty levels.
In Pagan Online, we can play both alone (as part of an extensive single player campaign) and with other players (thanks to the online multiplayer mode).
Pagan Online has a three-dimensional graphics design. The designs of characters (especially their armour and weapons), locations and monsters resemble those found in games developed by Blizzard Entertainment studio (especially Diablo III).

Game Ratings for Pagan: Absent Gods Video Game.
PC Invasion: 3.5 / 5 by Steven Wong
Pagan Online's fast-paced action is weighed down by its disappointing lack of depth. If you want the thrill of being trapped in a barrel full of monsters all day, this game is for you. If not, then it's best to look elsewhere.
Darkstation: 3 / 5 by Mark Steighner
Pagan Online’s Slavic fantasy pulls from mythologies that are slightly off the beaten path, but so much of the game feels like familiar — and what’s worse, less successful — tropes, mechanics and ideas gleaned from other ARPGs, MOBAs and mobile games.
Thumb Culture: 8 / 10 by Stuart Nightingale
Controller issues aside, Pagan Online has great potential for the long haul and to be up there in the ARPG go to’s with the likes of Diablo. The community on Reddit is active and so are the developers and with gold around the corner, I can see the player base becoming bigger. With Thunder and lightning raining down, I would give Pagan Online a Thumb Culture Gold Award.
