Pathologic 2: Marble Nest is a feature add-on to Pathologic 2, a survival adventure action game developed by Ice-Pick Lodge. Originally the title was a demo for players who supported the game on Kickstarter, but the improved version was later made available to a wider audience.
The story shown in the Pathologic 2: Marble Nest includes one day in the life of Daniil Dankovsky, a scientist and death specialist, whom we had the opportunity to learn about in the basic version of the game and who was one of the protagonists of the original Pathologic from 2005. This is an independent story written especially for Marble Nest.
The plague has already taken over almost the entire city; due to our strict quarantine, only two districts remained relatively safe. Unfortunately, we find out that this is also where the outbreak of disease smoulders. We only have 24 hours to find and destroy them - otherwise everything will be lost.
Mechanics in Pathologic 2: Marble Nest is no different from the basic version of the game. Players can explore the area of two districts of the city freely, searching for the necessary items for survival, chatting with NPCs and fighting. However, the level of difficulty associated with survival mechanics has been slightly reduced, so that more attention can be paid to the plot.
Time also plays an important role in adventure. Life in the city goes on independently from the player and some events may miss us if we don't arrive in time.
Pathologic 2: Marble Nest is an add-on that is dependent, so it requires a basic version of the game to work.
