Spain's Inverge Studios relied on a colorful, friendly aesthetic in its first two creations, the Effie and Creatures of Ava games. In creating Peregrino, the Valencia-based team decided to take a turn in the opposite direction. What we have here is a survival horror game, in which the beauty of a forest bathed in sunlight collides with the omnipresent darkness once night comes.

Gameplay

In Peregrino we view the events in an isometric view. During the gameplay , we play the role of the leader of a group of pilgrims whose caravan is heading through a dense forest to a place called New Eden. Our task is not only to navigate through the thicket, but also to ensure that we and the other members of the expedition can survive the next day... and the night that comes after it.
