As the title suggests, this add-on allows the players to participate in the Battle of Helm’s Deep – the largest battle ever featured in The Lord of The Rings Online. This, however, is not the only novelty introduced by this expansion – the players can now visit western parts of Rohan including the Dunharrow Stronghold and the city of Edoras, where they have to aid King Theoden in returning to power.

The game consists in stealing a specific object or effectively protecting it. The problem is that thieves are doing well in the dark, while the guards - although stronger - can only observe the illuminated area of the map.
