A cancelled third-person action adventure game. Prince of Persia: Redemption was planned to be developed by Ubisoft Montreal, but the publisher never gave a green light to this project. The game was supposed to rely on inspirations from earlier PoP games, as well as from Assassin's Creed and God of War series.
Prince of Persia: Redemption is the title of an action adventure game, which was planned to be developed by Ubisoft Montreal studio after the premiere of Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands. Ultimately, this project did not receive the green light from Ubisoft - the publisher of the entire series.
In Prince of Persia: Redemption the action was to be viewed from a third-person perspective (TPP). The game would allow us to play as the titular Prince of Persia, and the gameplay would be based not only on earlier titles under this banner, but also on the Assassin’s Creed series and the first parts of the God of War series.
Traversing fantastic locations, we would overcome terrain obstacles in a skillful, parkour-like manner, and also engage in dynamic battles with opponents. On the battlefield, we would make use not only of melee weapons, but also of the supernatural powers of a hero who could teleport, rewind time, and directly attack the souls of enemies, draining their life bars. Apart from regular opponents, we would also encounter powerful bosses impressive in size.
The icing on the cake would be spectacular, scripted events in which we would have to participate.
