A strategy shooter game that supports virtual reality sets. The game was developed by RocketWerkz, a studio founded by Dean “Rocket” Hall – the creator of the famous survival game DayZ. Out of Ammo takes place during an undefined modern conflict. The player assumes the role of a commander who must defend a base from the incoming enemy. The game combines the mechanics of a first-person shooter with a tower defense game.

A sequel to the two-dimensional platform game released by Ratloop Asia in 2011. The story of Rocketbirds 2: Evolution takes place once again in an alternative reality in which birds became the dominant species. During the game player assumes the role of agent Hardboiled Chicken, the protagonist of the previous entry in the series. Once again he is trying to stop the evil Putzki who is attempting to take over the world. Gameplay mechanics are similar as in the previous installment of the series.

An old school shooter based on arcade classics from the Canadian team Vertex Op. We Are Doomed doesn’t have any plot, and we control a small group of polygons trying to break through a group of enemy polygons. Our main weapon is a powerful laser cannon, which can be charged to shoot more powerful attack, but at the price of deactivating it for a few seconds. There are two main game modes.

An action-adventure game for mobile devices, set in a fairy-tale land, in which a sea deity, enraged by the greed of man, turned humans into fish-like monsters. The protagonist, one of the survivors, leaves her family island in search for her kidnapped brother. The gameplay of Legend of the Skyfish focuses on exploration of varied environments, gathering new pieces of equipment, solving various puzzles, and fighting enemies.

A sandbox action-adventure game and the debut project from the independent team at Paranoid Productions. The Church in the Darkness takes us back to the late 70s, and the story focuses on a pair of characters – followers of a radical cult, who run away to South America and try to create a utopia in the jungle. We play as a policeman named Vic whose nephew joins the mysterious church, so he travels to the aforementioned place to check if the boy is alright.

An oldschool shooter inspired by arcade classics. Sky Force Reloaded was produced by Polish studio Infinite Dreams, the creators of the two previous installments in the series: Sky Force from 2004 and Sky Force from 2014. In the game the player controls a fighter jet which automatically flies in one direction (towards the top of the screen). Player is tasked with shooting down incoming enemy units and avoiding being hit or crashing into obstacles.

An improved edition of Hard Reset - a cyberpunk first-person shooter developed by Flying Wild Hog (the creators of the successful Shadow Warrior remake). Although the original game (2011) was released exclusively for PCs, Hard Reset: Redux received console versions for the eighth generation of hardware as well. The game offers a journey to a grim world of the future, when the Earth has been almost entirely dominated by merciless robots who have devastated the planet.

An isometric survival game with co-op gameplay for up to eight players at its core. The Wild Eight tells the story of eight people stranded somewhere in cold Alaska after surviving a plane crash. The player’s role is to team up with other survivors and work together in order to stay alive and find a way back home.

A comical sneaking game developed by French studio, Moving Player. The player becomes a typical white collar working for one of the big corporations. The protagonist, who is notoriously late to work, is given an ultimatum: if he's late one more time, he's fired. When the main character had once again overslept after a party night, the only way for him to avoid the consequences is to sneak into his workplace without anyone noticing.

The second large expansion pack to an online action game, Star Wars: Battlefront, developed by EA DICE. The Outer Rim DLC introduces four brand new multiplayer maps. They let players fight in the factories and among pipelines and platforms on Sullust, as well as in Jabba the Hutt’s throne room and in his garage on Tatooine. It also expands the game by two new characters: Greedo and Nien Nunba – both are well known to fans of the original movie trilogy.

Set in Norse mythology, an independent action game with an arcade combat system. Jotun is a Kickstarter project. The title was initially released on PC, then published on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Wii U as an expanded edition called Jotun: Valhalla Edition featuring an additional game mode. Players are told the story of a Viking warrior named Thora who died an inglorious death. Before she passes through the gates of Valhalla, she needs to prove her worth to the Gods.

Underground is the first paid expansion that comes as a part of the season pass for The Division, a multiplayer online action game by Ubisoft Massive. Initially, the DLC was made available for Xbox One and after a month-long period of exclusivity, it came out for other platforms: PC and PlayStation 4. The division is a political thriller the action of which takes place in a plague-torn New York.

The second paid expansion for Tom Clancy’s The Division, an online action game with RPG elements. Survival, just like the vanilla game, was developed by Ubisoft Massive, a studio experienced with online titles. Similarly to the first add-on, Underground, Survival first debuted on Xbox One and then came out for PC and PlayStation 4 a month later. The Division is a political thriller in which New York is faced with a biological terrorist attack.

The third and the final add-on released as a part of the season pass for Tom Clancy’s The Division, a popular online action game developed by Ubisoft Massive. In opposition to the two previous expansions – Underground and Survival, Last Stand was released on all three platforms (PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One) simultaneously.

Another major expansion to the multiplayer FPS by Bungie Software, published in autumn 2014. Destiny: Rise of Iron is the first expansion available exclusively for the 8th generation of consoles and it requires the previous extension, called The Taken King, to work. The plot revolves around a breach in the wall, located on the southern border of Old Russia, which let hordes of fallen mutants get into the Golden Age graves, filled with valuable artifacts.

Another DLC pack for the 2015 online multiplayer action game Star Wars: Battlefront by DICE. The expansion includes four new maps, which allow you do visit previously unavailable locations, such as Cloud City or the Administrator's Palace on the eponymous planet Bespin, as well as hunt your opponents in the Bioniip Laboratories and carbon-freezing chambers. On those maps, you can encounter e.g. the iconic AT-AT walkers and take to the skies in a new vehicle called the “cloud car.

The fourth installment in a series of zombie-themed, third-person action games developed by Capcom. The story campaign brings a continuation to the storylines presented in the first installment. The player assumes the role of Frank West (appeared first in the original game) - a photographer trapped in a town overrun by hordes of zombies. During the Christmas period, he has to somehow survive through a period of several days, waiting for help to arrive.

The plot is focused on an invasion of hostile aliens, who destroy everything in their path and are completely resistant to traditional weaponry. When scientists discover that the aliens can only be harmed with weapons based on their own technology, a special team is created. Its task is to stop the invaders, and you play as one of its members.

A two-dimensional, side-scrolling action game developed by independent Brazilian studio Webcore Games. In My Night Job the player assumes the role of a man who is bored with his life. He starts additional job as a… member of a special forces unit. During various missions he faces hordes of enemies who are standing on his way to freeing hostages held in a grim abandoned mansion. The gameplay is focused mostly on combat, during which one can use more than 60 types of weapons.

An action adventure game with stealth elements, developed by the independent Danish studio Ultra Ultra. The player assumes the role of a white-haired girl, En, who spent several decades hibernated aboard a spaceship. The task that awaits her after her awakening from cryogenic sleep is to investigate the mysterious complex called the Palace and restore to life the equally mysterious race of its creators with the use of advanced technology.

Developed by British studio Fabrik Games, a top-down gangster action game, combining mechanics of a shooter and a stealth game. The action of Filthy Lucre takes place in a slightly exaggerated version of contemporary London. In the game, you assume the role of a thug who works for one of the criminal underworld’s bosses. When he is robbed of almost all of his savings, your job is to get them back.

Agents of Mayhem is an open-world action game that takes place in futuristic Seul. The game's plot focuses on the employees of M.A.Y.H.E.M., an organization that associates super agents from all over the world. They have to face the supervilians from L.E.G.I.O.N. who managed to take over almost the entire world. Only a group led by Persephone Brimstone can put an end to their rule. Their job is to defeat the forces of the evil Doctor Babylon.

An action game developed by Japanese studio Aquire. Gameplay mechanics of Akiba’s Beat are similar to the previous production of the developer – Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed. It combines RPG, beat’em up and visual novel features. The second installment of the series once again takes place in one of the most famous districts of Tokyo – Akihabara. The citizens of the district are caught in a time loop due to which they are endlessly repeating one day.

A multiplayer-oriented, crazy action game created by Ready at Dawn - a California-based studio. Online duels taking place on shaky arenas floating in mid-air constitute the core of the experience. The players are divided into two teams and having assumed control of colorful round-shaped creatures, they try to eliminate the opponents. Each of the creatures has both its strong and weak points. An enemy can be taken out by ramming or pushing them off the arena, as well as simply shooting them down.
