The plot of ICEY follows the titular heroine, led by the mysterious narrator, during her travels through a fictional, enemy-ridden world. When it comes to mechanics, the game is a classic fighting game, with a complex combo system and RPG elements.

In Hollow you play as a pilot, who visits an abandoned space station orbiting Saturn, and your task is to learn why its crew is gone. The game utilizes a first person's perspective and the gameplay focuses on exploration, solving puzzles, and combat.

The game is set in a Gothic-inspired scenery and the graphics were based here on large voxels, which makes it resemble Minecraft. The player takes on the role of a gunslinger whose task is to eliminate the approaching enemies - those can be skeletons, ghosts, bats or bosses such as dragons.
