Alexander is the second expansion for Rome: Total War. It was developed by Creative Assembly, just like any other product in the Total War series. This time around, we assume the role of one of the most brilliant strategists in the history of mankind, Alexander the Great, who earned his place in history books thanks to his grand conquests.

The most important part of Alexander is the campaign that lets the players repeat the war successes of the Macedonian king. With our progress, we will unlock six historical missions. The developers tried to faithfully reflect the environment, number of units used, and tactics applied by the enemies of the eponymous leader. In between the subsequent scenarios, we may watch high-quality videos presenting the incredible exploits of Alexander the Great, expanding our knowledge of ancient history. For the purposes of those cutscenes, Creative Assembly hired Brian Blessed (Alexander, Star Wars: Phantom Menace) to serve as a narrator. The historical missions can be also played in multiplayer mode (1v1, 2v2, 3v1).
