Release Date: TBA
An action RPG with an isometric view, based in some ways on the cult hack'n'slash classic Sacred from 2004, created by the developers of the original. Sacred: Last Pixel of Ancaria allows us to control a team of four characters, travelling through well-known locations, fighting enemies, and collecting loot.
The German studio Ascaron, which started the Sacred series, ceased to exist in 2009. However, years later, the creators of the series returned to the universe they created under the banner of SparklingBit, in collaboration with THQ Nordic, first creating Sacred 2 Remaster, and then the project titled Sacred: Last Pixel of Ancaria described here. This project is a cross between a remake and a spin-off – it is heavily based on the original but changes some of its elements.
Although this game also represents the action RPG genre with an isometric view, it was developed with slightly different assumptions than the original. The biggest difference being that this time we lead a four-person team of heroes (including familiar faces, with the seraphim at the forefront), eliminating numerous opponents, collecting loot, and developing characters. We explore dungeons and locations on the surface, including places known to fans of the original, such as Shaddar's Tower or Porto Vallum. We can move on foot or horseback.
A distinctive feature of Sacred: Last Pixel of Ancaria is also its pixel art graphics, reminiscent of the 16-bit era. Additionally, the creators aimed to preserve the atmosphere of the original, emphasizing its unique sense of humor.
