Shadowrun: Dragonfall is the first expansion for the cyberpunk RPG Shadowrun Returns. The expansion requires the core game to run. It was developed by Harebrained Schemes.
The expansion takes place in the futuristic Berlin. The city is a battlefield for corporations and political organizations, which gives a chance to earn some money for all shadowrunners ready to accept dangerous tasks. The campaign focuses on the eponymous Dragonfall, a forgotten event from the time of the return of magic to Earth. You also face the protagonist's grim past and change the fate of Berlin forever.
Shadowrun: Dragonfall features a full-fledged singleplayer campaign, with new locations, foes, and characters. Each team member has their own distinct abilities and biography, which affects their responses to the events of the game. When doing quests, you use many new weapons, such as sniper rifles, grenade launchers, and tasers. All of these new items are very useful when you're facing the new, powerful enemies, such as gargoyles or fiery lizards. The game features music composed by Sam Powell.
Unlike the base game, the expansion allows you to save your progress anytime. It's worth noting that this option is also available in the Shadowrun Returns campaign. The adventure editor has been improved—the new script system gives you more freedom in designing missions and makes it easier to control the lighting settings.
