Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion is the first full-scale extension to the 2008 release of the 4X Space Strategy. It introduces, among other things, three new factions and additional ships and significantly improves the graphic design.

The war between the three factions known from the basic version has severely strained their arsenals and resources, and despite fierce fights, there is still no end to the conflict. That is why some of the citizens on each side finally recognise that they have already suffered enough and are starting the title rebellion. From each side of the conflict a group of rebels is detached, creating a new faction with its own unique development tree and modified types of star ships.

Another novelty is the appearance of a completely new class of ships known as Titan, which is clearly superior to all other ships in terms of size and offensive capabilities. New line ships and corvettes have also been made available. In addition, the fun has become more varied with the introduction of new ways to win. Unfortunately, just like the basic version of Sins of a Solar Empire, the extension has not been equipped with a single player campaign. That's why lovers of playing alone can only fight against artificial intelligence in independent scenarios.
