Solo Leveling: Arise Overdrive is an action RPG, based on the best-selling manhwa (South Korean variation of manga) titled Solo Leveling. The game was developed by the South Korean company Netmarble, which has in its portfolio titles such as Marvel Future Revolution and Game of Thrones: Kingsroad.

Interestingly, despite the similarity of the titles, this is not an update or a new version of Solo Leveling: Arise, but a separate project.

Gameplay

In Solo Leveling: Arise Overdrive the action is viewed from a third-person perspective (TPP).

The game is mainly about engaging in dynamic duels with opponents. Not only ordinary enemies stand in our way, but also powerful bosses. Quick clashes bring to mind slashers and require us to have dexterity and reflexes. The key to success is avoiding attacks and parrying them, as well as launching powerful counterattacks. We also need to link our moves into spectacular combinations, using melee weapons and combat skills.

  • Visuals and Animation: Many users appreciate the graphics and animations, which are seen as a significant upgrade from the mobile version, capturing the essence of the Solo Leveling universe.
  • Engaging Story: Fans of the original manhwa and anime find the story engaging, with many key plot points faithfully adapted.

  • Technical Issues: Reports of bugs, lag in menus, performance drops, and connection problems are common, leading to a frustrating gameplay experience for many.

  • Improved User Interface: Many reviews mention that the UI feels outdated and cumbersome, echoing a mobile game experience rather than a polished PC title.
  • Expanded Content: Users are looking for additional story content and gameplay features to make the game feel more complete and less repetitive.
  • Enhanced Combat Mechanics: Some players desire more depth in combat mechanics, including better timing for dodges and more varied enemy behaviors to create a more challenging experience.

Summary
