S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy - Enhanced Edition is a compilation featuring remastered versions of the first three installments of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series. The package was prepared by the creators of the original, namely the Ukrainian studio GSC Game World, which oversees the development of the brand. It includes refreshments of the games S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chornobyl, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat.
New features in the remasters
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy - Enhanced Edition introduces a number of new features.
Visual enhancements
The most important improvements in all three games are those related to visuals. The developers focused on the lighting, which became more realistic, they improved the textures and models of characters, weapons and environmental elements. Additionally, they improved the shader effects of water and moisture, as well as skyboxes (and consequently - the appearance of the sky). The icing on the cake is featuring pre-rendered cutscenes in 4K resolution.
Other new features
This is not the end, as the console versions now feature graphics modes that utilize their capabilities (allowing us to choose between animation smoothness and graphic quality), as well as support for keyboard and mouse. The PC version has been integrated with Steam Workshop and optimized for Steam Deck. It also supports cloud saves and playing using a controller. In addition to this, remasters support mods on all platforms, thanks to the integration with the mod.io platform.

Story
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy - Enhanced Edition allows us to participate in the events presented in the first three productions under the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. banner. We find ourselves in an alternative version of the titular Zone. It is the Exclusion Zone around the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant, overrun by mutated creatures and dangerous anomalies. We play as the titular stalkers in individual games, who venture into this territory in search of valuable artifacts.
STALKER: Shadow of Chornobyl - Enhanced Edition
The first game under this banner allows us to play as a hero suffering from amnesia, who traverses the Zone, trying to unravel the mystery of his identity. Along the way, the protagonist learns more about this place and discovers its dark secrets.
STALKER: Clear Sky - Enhanced Edition
The second game in the series is a prequel to Shadow of Chornobyl. Its main character is a mercenary known by the pseudonym Scar, whose goal is to reach the source of powerful anomalies known as emissions and stop them before they completely devastate the Zone.
STALKER: Call of Pripyat - Enhanced Edition
The third installment in this series is a continuation of Shadow of Chornobyl, telling the story of Major Alexander Degtyarev following the trail of the missing first expedition to the heart of the Zone.
Gameplay
In S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy - Enhanced Edition, we view the action from a first-person perspective (FPP). The games included in the compilation provide us with a range of open locations to explore. We get to know their inhabitants and perform missions for them, establish more or less friendly relations with individual factions, as well as engage in battles with opponents.
Combat requires a tactical approach from us, as enemies (both humans and mutants) often have a numerical advantage over us. In addition to weapons and artifact detectors, screws are also useful, which allow us to know the range of individual anomalies. As we progress, we accumulate better equipment and develop gear we already have.
