The Remake of the End of the Greatest RPG of All Time is a production that combines mechanics taken from the jRPG genre with elements of a logic game. It is maintained in the convention of a refreshed version of the finale of a fictional "greatest RPG game of all time".

The game is the result of a collaboration between Coin Drop Games studio and Lucas Immanuel, Jacob Dominick, and Kyle Chuang. Its creation was made possible partially thanks to a successful crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter.

Gameplay

The Remake of the End of the Greatest RPG of All Time presents us with a refreshed version of the final stage of a non-existent jRPG game, which was not only supposed to receive improved graphics, but also to be enriched with director's commentary, a digital instruction manual, and archival materials.

Uncovering secrets

Our starting goal is to discover how individual plot threads unfolded, which we watch culminate, as well as who the characters were that sacrificed themselves for us at the end of the adventure. Over time it turns out that there are many more secrets hidden under this layer. The biggest mysteries waiting to be solved are the reasons why we have never heard of the original game, and also why only the last stage of the game has been refreshed.

Puzzles

There is a logic game hidden under the guise of a jRPG with a turn-based combat system and a side-view camera. Solving the puzzles set before us requires browsing through the manual, watching behind-the-scenes clips of the production, and carefully listening to the director's commentary. Completing this task takes about 2.5-3 hours.
