The Sims 4: Star Wars - Journey to Batuu is another official expansion to the fourth instalment of the extremely popular life simulator. It allows sims to experience the adventure in the Star Wars universe. EA Maxis studio, which has been developing The Sims series since the beginning of its existence, is responsible for developing the add-on.
The Sims 4: Star Wars - Journey to Batuu presents players with a short story in the world of Star Wars, placed in the times of the new trilogy, which was opened by the film The Force Awakens. Its action takes place on the distant planet Batuu. The small space port that we will visit during our adventure is modelled on the existing attractions in Disneyland theme parks. Once invited, our sims will be able to board a spacecraft and move to another world. Rey and Kylo Ren, among others, will meet there.
The add-on offers a completely new location, which is the space port on Batuu. On the spot, we can talk to various NPCs, do some shopping or visit a local canteen for a moment, where we can listen to interstellar hits served by droid DJ R-3X. The expansion will also allow us to build our own robot-assister and light sword, with which we can duel with other sims.
Depending on our preferences, we carry out a variety of missions for the Resistance, the forces of the First Order or cosmic villains led by Hondo Ohnaka. By supporting one faction, we will unlock related events. New cosmetic items include many costumes inspired by films from the series, as well as interior design elements.
During the game we will hear not only popular music by John Williams, but also many well-known sound effects associated with Star Wars.
