The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe is an extended re-release of the award-winning 2013 first-person adventure The Stanley Parable. The game has been enriched with new endings, locations and narrator monologues. The title was announced at The Game Awards 2018.
We play as the titular Stanley, or employee number 427 of a large corporation, whose function and position are never fully explained. Scenario contains a large dose of humor, which often comes from the statements of the sarcastic narrator. The authors regularly poke fun at modern gaming conventions.
The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe is an unusual game - it's a narrative experiment. We won't find here traditional game mechanisms, opponents or classic logical challenges. Instead, it's all about exploring rooms and learning the story prepared by the creators, the course of which we can shape through our own decisions - following the narrator's instructions or ignoring them. We observe the action from a first-person perspective.
In The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe we can play only solo.
The Stanley Parable is built on Source engine. In terms of technology, the game is quite outdated, but thanks to an interesting artistic style, the creators managed to achieve a decent final effect. Graphics will probably not impress anyone, but it is enough to show the atmosphere of the game and present a humorous scenario, which is its pride.
