The second compilation of popular sports games related to the topic of skateboarding. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 includes the third and fourth parts of the series. Both games have been modernized and received completely new graphics. We can also find new maps, new tricks, new skaters and new mission objectives, along with Create-A-Skater and Create-A-Park modes.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 is the second compilation of remastered versions of skateboarding simulators, following up on Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 released by Activision in 2020. This second package includes refreshed editions of the third and fourth installments of this series. It was prepared by Iron Galaxy Studios, which has in its portfolio PC versions of Spyro Reignited Trilogy and The Last of Us: Part I.
The gameplay in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 does not deviate from the mechanics developed by the previous parts of the series. We take part in two-minute "runs", and during each run we take control of a chosen skater. We ride a skateboard around maps (which have significantly expanded in the fourth game) dotted with ramps, barriers, and other environmental elements, performing various tricks.
Our tricks are scored in real time, and to achieve the highest score, it is necessary to link them into spectacular combinations. Each map from the game also allow us to complete various challenges, such as finding the letters S-K-A-T-E, performing a specific trick in a certain place, or interacting with a designated object. Missions are a source of cash that allows us to purchase new skateboards and upgrades for skaters.
After finishing the career, we can try our hand at the New Game mode, starting from the beginning with all previously unlocked upgrades.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 allows us to play as one of the real professionals, as well as a character we create ourselves in the Create-A-Skater mode. Its complement is the Create-A-Park module, which allows for designing our own levels, and also, what is new in the series, developing custom challenges. We can share our projects with the community.
Compared to the original versions, both games that make up the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 compilation stand out due to new maps and tricks. The existing arenas have not only been faithfully recreated, but also enriched with new objectives. In addition, previously inaccessible skaters were handed over to us.
We can play Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 alone or in multiplayer mode. The game allows for having fun with other players over the Internet or on a split screen.
Of course, what stands out the most in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4, is the thoroughly refreshed graphic design. The authors focused on textures and lighting, adapting the whole visual layer to 4K resolution.
The game is played to the accompaniment of a dynamic soundtrack composed of licensed tracks.

While Pro Skater 4’s shift away from its open-world structure may disappoint fans of the original, and the soundtrack misses some iconic tracks, there’s no denying Iron Galaxy put in the work to make both games feel cohesive. In the end, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 offers two more chances for players to relive their skating heyday while offering a new generation a piece of history through a modern lens.
