The four hundred years old peace has ended with the start of an intergalactic war and you, as a member of House Sedaris, have to defend the precious neoplatinum mine on one of the asteroids. Sentinel Command focuses on developing your space base and fleet; you can unlock not only new units, but also upgrades.

The action of Atlas Reactor is set in a futuristic metropolis in which rich investment fund companies fight for influence. Since their employees avoid getting their hands dirty, they hire trained mercenary groups to do the dirty work for them, and the players are the commanders. Each crew consists of several warriors of different personalities and skills.

Contrary to several of its three-dimensional predecessors, Worms: Revolution Extreme offers classical gameplay with action depicted from the side as teams of aggressive worms take their turns in attempt to eradicate the enemy team. The developers provided a rich arsenal of weapons, including firearms, rocket and grenade launchers, the iconic holy hand grenade, and the Super Sheep.

In the game, Tarnum, the game's protagonist, joins forces with what was left of the tribe that protects the titular World Tree. Despite their efforts, the Tree is destroyed by Vorr, the god of war, and his army of necromancers.

The Mad King sends his son, Niven, to face Tarnum, but when he learns the true motive behind his father's actions, he instead joins our protagonist.
