Twilight Imperium Digital

In 1997, Fantasy Flight Games and Asmodee released the first edition of a science fiction board game titled Twilight Imperium, designed by Christian T. Petersen. Over the years, it has seen subsequent versions, and finally the Polish studio Red Square Games, which has projects such as SlavicPunk: Oldtimer and Sancticide in its portfolio, prepared its digital adaptation. Gameplay

The gameplay in Twilight Imperium Digital takes place in turn-based mode, on a procedurally generated galaxy map, covered with a grid of hexagonal fields. Looking at the board from above, we take control of one of the factions differentiated in terms of unique abilities that translate into the style of play.

Different paths to victory

The game allows us to achieve victory in various ways. Dominance over the other participants in the game can be ensured by both military strength and cunning political maneuvers, diplomatic efforts, or focusing on trade and maintaining friendly relations with the other factions.

Rules, systems, tutorials

In Twilight Imperium Digital the rules of the fourth edition of the board game Twilight Imperium have been implemented, including trade, exploration, and political phases. The developers have also automated some of the gameplay systems, and while designing the interface, they tried to make it accessible for both veterans and beginners. Tutorials and hints were prepared with newcomers in mind.
