Velaster

Odysseyer is an independent development studio from South Korea. It chose to create a side-scrolling action game set in a dark fantasy atmosphere for its debut project. This is how the project Velaster was born.

Gameplay

In Velaster the action is viewed from the side.

Character classes

The game allows us to play as characters that differ in terms of profession, and consequently, preferred weaponry, fighting style, and strengths and weaknesses. The knight is a versatile unit on the battlefield, making use of a sword and shield. The warrior with twin blades relies mainly on speed and acrobatic moves, while the hammer-wielding warrior is noticeably slower but possesses the greatest attack strength.

Exploration and combat

During the game we traverse locations, moving sideways or deeper into the screen (at certain moments) and fight encountered enemies. Along the way, we face regular foes as well as powerful bosses. Defeating the latter requires careful observation of their movements and discovering their weak points and gaps in defense.
