Mechanics

In Wavetale we observe the action from the third person perspective (TPP). Production provides us with a vast archipelago. Wandering through it, we meet its inhabitants, among whom we find pirates, fishermen or a certain cocky surfer, and complete various tasks.

Sigrid has befriended a mysterious shadow, which allows her to walk on the surface of the water and glide incredibly fast just above it. In the same way the protagonist moves on land; moreover, she can overcome small distances in the air. All this makes the exploration not only dynamic, but also impressive and pleasing to the eye. As the game world does not lack opponents, an important role is also played by dynamic battles (whether with regular enemies or powerful bosses), during which we make use of the landing net used in close combat.

With time, we gain various cosmetic accessories (such as clothes, headgear or new hair colors). As we progress, Sigrid fills her journal with special drawings, deepening our knowledge of the presented world.
