We Are OFK is a narrative adventure game about the birth of a new music band. The game was developed by the independent studio Team OFK (the project's creative director was Teddy Dief, co-creator of the warmly received Hyper Light Drifter) and was created in cooperation with the titular band. Its release coincided with the debut of OFK's first album.
The heroine of We Are OFK is Itsumi Saito, who broke up with her girlfriend and moved to downtown Los Angeles to pursue her dream of becoming a music star. When Saito meets a talented producer at a party in Hollywood, it seems that fortune has finally smiled on her.
Over the course of the five episodes into which We Are OFK is divided, we learn about the fate of Itsumi Saito and other members of the band. During the game we accompany the characters in everyday life, we talk and solve various problems. In addition, during the game we observe the protagonists' first steps in the music industry. The game also allows us to check out five interactive music videos for OFK's songs.
In We Are OFK, the audio layer comes to the fore. During the game we can hear not only songs from the debut album of the band, but also professional actors, among whom we can find such names as Ally Maki (Toy Story 4), Greg Chun (Squid Game) or Yuri Lowenthal (Marvel's Spider-Man). Graphics was designed in a colorful, cartoon style.
