Wild Hearts

Wild Hearts is a spectacular action game with RPG elements, in which we hunt giant beasts. It was developed by Omega Force, Koei Tecmo and Electronic Arts, and was released as part of the EA Originals initiative.

Plot

Wild Hearts takes us on a journey to Azuma - a fantastic land inspired by feudal Japan. Once, people here lived in harmony with giant beasts called Kemono. Over time, however, the behavior of the latter changed dramatically, and the monsters began to wreak havoc wherever they appeared. In the course of the gameplay, we take on the role of one of the heroes, who, wanting to restore the old order and order in Azuma, confront the giants. On the battlefield, the heroes make use of so-called Karakuri - weapons and gadgets using advanced ancient technology.

Game mechanics

In Wild Hearts we observe the action from a third-person perspective (TPP). The pillar of the gameplay is hunting wild beasts that roam throughout the land. Among them we find oversized squirrels, giant boars or powerful wolves. Clashes with them are extremely dynamic, and during them we make use of a diverse arsenal.

We can fight our opponents with both cold weapons (led by a katana) and using a bow. In addition, at our disposal are advanced gadgets that expand the range of our capabilities available on the battlefield and increase our combat potential. We are talking, among others, about a handy propeller that allows us to get on the body of an adversary, a time bomb or even a huge hammer that delivers powerful blows. In addition, a crafting system was implemented in the game, thanks to which we can create better and better weapons over time (and thus face more and more challenges).

Game modes

Wild Hearts can be played solo or in co-op mode for up to three people. The title also has cross-platform functionality.

Technical aspects

Wild Hearts features colorful, high-quality graphics. In particular, the designs of the opponents can be liked, but the rest of the elements of the visual layer are also hard to complain about anything.
