December 17, 2014

He is accompanied by a small group of men, each member of which has unique equipment and skills. The game features only a story campaign, which consists of eight missions. During them the player participates in open shootouts with enemies and performs stealth missions. The action is presented with a third-person perspective – the first-person perspective is used only while precisely aiming. Because of that and the presence of a cover system, despite the large number of enemies the action is rather slow paced. During the fights the player can use special attacks (like an airstrike, rockets, Molotov’s cocktails) and the gameplay mechanics feature RPG traits like statistics upgrading and developing the skills of members of the squad.

When it comes to gameplay mechanics, Space Marshals fits within the frames of a top-down shooter. However, because your character cannot take much damage before dying you have to use proper tactics in order to succeed. The protagonist can sneak, perform silent kills, use covers, flank opponents, and distract guards using disguises. Just like the first installment, Space Marshals 2 is an episodic game developed by Swedish mobile game developer Pixelbite (creators of the Reckless Racing series and Xenowerk shooter). The player once again becomes a space marshal who takes on numerous dangerous criminals. In terms of gameplay mechanics, the sequel is very similar to its predecessor.
