At the time of writing the guide, Hades 2 was still in early access. The guide will be updated as new content is added to the game.

Hades 2: Guide content

In the first chapter of the guide, you will find basic information about the game and its mechanics. Learn useful starting tips, that will help you at the beginning of your adventure with the game. We also described various currencies available in the game, what they are used for and how to obtain them, as well as the god mode which is an optional easier game mode. You will also learn how to upgrade the main character, both permanently and temporarily, as well as what types of rooms you may encounter during your expeditions.

We also devoted separate chapters to lands, weapons, tools, and bosses. We have listed all the biomes in the game - their unique properties and chambers. You will learn the moveset of each weapon, the spells and tools assigned to them and what they are used for. We have also described all the bosses you will encounter at the end of each area - how to fight them and how to avoid their attacks.

The FAQ section has answers to common questions that may arise during the game. You will find out, e.g. whether Zagreus, the protagonist of the previous game, appears in the sequel, as well as whether you can play Hades 2 without prior knowledge.

The guide concludes with an appendix, where you will find information about the available language versions and system requirements.

Hades 2: Tips and tricks

  1. Don't be afraid of death - just like its predecessor, Hades 2 makes death not a punishment, but an integral part of the game, thanks to which you unlock new content, experience story events and get stronger. Every attempt is a success - don't give up;
  2. Unlock permanent upgrades - during almost every visit to the main hub, you can upgrade or unlock a new feature that will make your next adventures to defeat the titan Chronos easier. Don't be afraid to spend the currency you've earned - each subsequent expedition will bring you more of it;
  3. Consider which chambers to go to - during expeditions, you will often have to make a reward-driven decision about which chambers you want to visit. Consider this decision according to your current needs;
  4. Don't skimp on magic - Melinoe's magic bar regenerates after entering a new chamber. So don't hesitate and use magic - it's better to use a powerful attack and miss than not to use it at all;
  5. Defense over offense - unlike magick, regaining lost health is much more difficult. Prioritize avoiding attacks over aggression and try to avoid damage;
  6. Beware of armored enemies - armored enemies (marked with a yellow health bar) are not only much more durable, but also more dangerous, because their armor makes them resistant to your attacks. This means that until you destroy their armor, you cannot interrupt their attacks. Beware of them and be very careful when fighting these enemies by paying attention to their attack animations;
  7. Talk to NPCs - this will bring you various benefits, unlock new game elements or progress the plot. We recommend talking to every NPC in the hub before each expedition - especially if they have a yellow exclamation mark above their head indicating a particularly important conversation;

Hades 2: All lands, biomes

  1. The Crossroads - the game's hub where you will go after each completed expedition;
  2. Erebus - the first land in the game, a gloomy forest of lost souls that serves as a warm-up for your journey;

  1. Weapons list - we have listed all the weapons in the game and how to unlock new weapons;
  2. Tools list - we have listed all the tools available in the game, what they do and what you can gain by using them.

Hades 2: All bosses

  1. Boss list - we have listed all the bosses in the game and provided information on where you can find them.
  2. Hecate - you will learn how to defeat Melinoe's teacher during your last exam;
  3. Scylla - we explain how to interrupt the song of the Sirens;
  4. Infernal Beast - we describe the guardian of Chronos's headquarters;

Hades 2: FAQ

  1. Is Zagreus in the game? - find out if Zagreus, the protagonist of the first game, appears in this one.
